Kintsugi (金継ぎ) (Japanese: golden joinery) is the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with a lacquer resin sprinkled with powdered gold. I had a chance to hear how to do the modern version of it at Kikirakuza and to take a look at the real ones at Ishizaki-san’s place in Mito.
